All of our past blogs are archived, so you can easily browse through previous posts and explore a range of topics related to lime-treated soils, pavement performance, and construction best practices.

In-Depth Podcasts with Industry Experts

Want expert insights in 10 minutes or less? Our “Long Time in Texas” podcast series offers quick, high-value discussions on lime stabilization techniques, case studies, and innovations.

All podcast episodes are available on YouTube and embedded on our website. Just click on the Podcast tab to view the full library. Topics range from project-specific solutions to broader educational content about lime use in base and subgrade stabilization.

Free Lime Stabilization Calculators

One of the most visited sections of our website is the Calculators page. These tools make it easy to:

  • Estimate the number of tons of lime needed for a project
  • Input area, depth, and percentage of lime for quick calculations
  • Plan material costs and logistics efficiently

Whether you’re working on a roadway, industrial site, or development project, these calculators are designed to take the guesswork out of your lime treatment needs.

Publications Available for Download or Order

Looking for in-depth technical guidance? We offer several downloadable publications, including our most requested resource: The Lime Stabilization Handbook by Dr. Dallas Little. This handbook has been an industry staple for over 25 years, covering lime treatment for subgrades and base courses. A new version will launch soon, but the current edition is still available to order through our site.

To request a copy, just send an email to dale@limetexas.org.
